As digital transformation and information security threats continue to intensify, the demand for information security management tools is becoming more and more urgent. NETCenter introduces the new Firewall Configuration Security Verification (GCB Verification) feature, which is designed to help enterprises simplify the firewall verification process, enhance information security protection capabilities, and comply with the Government Configuration Baseline (GCB) and other information security compliance requirements.
Compared with the traditional manual verification method, GCB verification function helps enterprises to cope with the large number of information security verification requirements through automated inspection. Administrators only need to use the NETCenter GUI operation platform, use the NETCenter command script delivery function to back up data or manually upload backup files for verification, which can verify a large number of firewall settings at one time and provide the results of discrepancy comparisons. This saves time for customers to manually check settings and generate reports, and reduces the workload of security administrators and the chance of errors. Through the introduction of GCB, the security of network equipment and enterprise assets can be enhanced, and the purpose of automated security verification can be realized.

This feature is suitable for enterprise periodic security check, new firewall base configuration check, real-time check data backup, and can be applied to Fortigate and Palo Alto firewall brands. It also supports up to 72 configuration checks, including password policy, interface security settings, NTP timing configuration, and more. The report is color-coded to clearly indicate the compliance status of each configuration, including Success, Fail, Ignore, and Unset, allowing operator to quickly understand the problem and take action.
In the future, NETCenter firewall GCB validation function will be extended to support more brands and models of firewalls, including Cisco ASA, etc., to further satisfy the diversified needs of different enterprises. The NETCenter team will continue to update the audit items to keep pace with international security standards and provide customers with more comprehensive security protection solutions.
